Construction: Beginning in 1978, founded Dale Insulation, Fireplace Solutions, Original Closets and Smart Home Products, all construction related businesses. Achieved many awards from The Home Builders Association of Greater Knoxville including four-time recipient of the Associate of the Year Award and Life Board of Director status.

Marketing: Founder of Cityview Magazine, originally created to market the services of Knoxville's construction industry as well as other local area businesses. Worked with hundreds of local companies on their marketing campaigns. Received many "ADDY" Awards for Excellence in Advertising.

Real Estate: Since 1978 - personally buying, selling, owning and managing residential, commercial, and investment real estate. Participated in the development of several historic properties including the restoration of the Arthur Street Fire Hall, Park Junior High School redevelopment into Park Place Residential Condominiums, and the Perkins Elementary School redevelopment into class A offices.

Civic involvement: Served as Board Member and as Chairman of the Board of the Better Business Bureau - Chairman of the construction of 4 Habitat For Humanity Homes and participate in many civic and community projects.
